Before joining Astra Plastic Surgery as a plastic surgeon in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Farber trained at one of the top 3 plastic surgery residencies in the country – the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After becoming Chief Resident, she pursued specialized training in aesthetic surgery with renowned plastic surgeons across various institutions focusing on oculoplastic surgery, cosmetic breast surgery, abdominoplasty, and facial rejuvenation. Prior to her plastic surgery training, Dr. Farber graduated with honors from Duke University after earning a degree in Chemistry and completing a thesis on an innovative treatment for skin cancer. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha – the most prestigious medical honor society – and was awarded both the Plastic Surgery Award and Pediatric Surgery Award for demonstrating excellence in each of these areas. She graduated Cum Laude after earning a spot as one of the top ten students in her medical school class. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Farber enjoys exploring the city of Atlanta with her husband Nicholas, who is a urologic surgeon specializing in men's health and male infertility.
